100 Club Jiu-Jitsu for First Responders
The class will be instructed by BJJ Blackbelts who are police officers. The techniques learned during the instruction will increase self confidence when dealing with a resistive non-compliant subject. The instruction will also show how jiu-jitsu gives you a physical outlet for stress. Stress can build up quickly with the high expectations required of a police officer and Jiu-Jitsu forces you to use energy in a safe and controlled manner that will help clear your mind. Come prepared for a physical workout as this is a hands-on interactive course. Dress in Gi pants, Rashguard, or any kind of workout pants and workout shirt. Please bring sandals to change into to wear when walking off the mat. The event is free to attend, but spots are limited, so register soon! Donations will be accepted to benefit the 100 Club of Illinois first responder programming.
