The key foundation of BJJ through self defense, basic principles, and fundamentals. Classes consist of learning techniques, positional sparring, and drills. Classes are also taught through the law enforcement, street, and sport perspective situations.
Ages 5-9, are geared to help develop motor, attention, and listening skills through basic principles and exercises. Kids learn to work with others. Kids also learn to build their confidence and self esteem, as well as dealing with bullying.
Ages 10-15, are geared to help build their confidence, self esteem and awareness through self defense and live sparring. Kids also learn submissions and principles that will help them transitions towards adult classes.
Judo is a modern Japanese martial art, a system of unarmed combat, and now primarily a sport. Judo is not only a training of the body and mind, but also a way of human formation. Judo was created in 1882 by Jigoro Kano. Sensai Brian Higgins has many years of experience and loves teaching the art of Judo.
